JON UNDERWOOD has been playing golf ever since his dad took him to the local pitch and putt course when he was eight years old. He quickly fell in love with the game and has been a single figure player for more than 40 years. Jon spent eight years on the Daily Mail newspaper in the UK where he was a regular member of the Northcliff Golf Society. He moved to Sydney in 1997 and in a varied career has edited two golf magazines (Golf World International and Golf Vacations) and been a sport producer for both Channel 7 and Network Ten, where he put three U.S. Opens to air and covered multiple Australasian tournaments. He co-authored Golf for Dummies with Gary McCord in 2000 and has produced golf travel segments for The Golf Show on Fox Sports, including recent features on New Zealand and Vietnam. Jon is currently the managing editor of Traveltalk, Australia’s leading travel news magazine.
